Elevate Florida Residential Mitigation Program Application Deadline April 11

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (March 28, 2025) – The application deadline for the Florida Division of Emergency Management’s Elevate Florida program is April 11, 2025, at 7 p.m. Draft applications that have not been fully submitted by the deadline will not be considered for funding.

Elevate Florida is the state’s first residential mitigation program designed to enhance community resilience by protecting private residences from natural hazards. Property owners interested in participating in the program must complete and submit their applications before the deadline to be considered for funding.

Residents can apply by creating an account and completing an application at www.floridadisaster.org/ElevateFlorida.

For those who have started a draft application, the following steps should be taken to complete and submit:

  1. Create or log into your account on the Elevate Florida Portal at fdem-resmit.my.site.com/Elevate.
  2. Begin or continue a draft application. To access a saved draft, click the "Status" tab and select the hyperlinked Tracking Number.
  3. Review all sections of the application to ensure all required fields are filled.
  4. Upload necessary documents, including:
    1. Photos of the structure (all four sides, including front, rear, and both sides)
    2. Insurance Declaration pages (if available)
    3. Elevation Certificates (if applicable)
    4. Geotechnical Reports (Soil Studies) (if applicable)
    5. Structural Integrity Assessment (if applicable)
    6. Flooding/high water mark photos
    7. Insurance claim information
    8. Substantial Damage Determination letters (if applicable)
    9. Combined household income as reflected on the most recent federal tax return
  5. Verify contact information and other personal details.
  6. Click "Submit" to finalize and submit the application.

Upon submission, applicants will be contacted by their assigned case manager through their preferred contact method.
